St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 25, 2017 – Washington University in St. Louis graduate student midfielder Ike Witte was named to the 2016 Jewish Sports Review NCAA Division II and Division III Men's Soccer All-America First Team, as announced by the publication.
Witte, a second-team all-University Athletic Association (UAA) and third-team National Soccer Coaches of Association (NSCAA) All-Central Region selection, started 16 games in the midfield for the Bears. He had four goals and an assist for nine points.
Witte scored game-winning goals in a 3-0 win against Illinois Wesleyan University (Sept. 23) and in a 4-0 victory over New York University (Oct. 14.). He started 59 of 67 career games played and had seven goals and six assists for 20 points.
WashU finished the season with a 10-4-3 overall record, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight season.
